This bespoke residential project in Altrincham, Trafford reimagines modern living through a striking rear extension that blends architectural innovation with refined interior detailing. The scheme incorporates a sunken living area, luxury indoor spa pool, and fully equipped home gym, all positioned to maximise light, space, and connectivity to the landscaped garden.

At the heart of the extension, expansive large-frame aluminium glazing floods the interiors with natural light and frames uninterrupted garden views. Two impressive pivot doors, a three-track sliding door system, and a dramatic glass-to-glass corner dissolve the boundary between inside and out, creating a seamless connection to the outdoor space.

The pool suite is finished with dark marble-effect large-format tiles, lending a sense of understated opulence. Discreet features include a secret door to the garage and a recessed magnetic track lighting system for flexible illumination. A large circular skylight bathes the space in daylight, while the indoor spa pool with swim jet and retractable cover offers year-round enjoyment. The centrepiece—a modern two-way tunnel gas fireplace—links the pool area with the living space, creating both warmth and visual continuity.

The sunken living room showcases a polished concrete floor, contemporary modular furniture, and a custom recessed media wall with integrated fireplace. A built-in bookcase and reading nook nestle alongside the staircase, defined by a minimalist glass balustrade that preserves sightlines and light flow.

The kitchen has undergone a complete transformation, with bespoke dark walnut joinery, statement green kit-kat tiles, an oriel window with seating, and a central island topped with marble-effect work surfaces. Pendant lighting creates a focal point over the island, combining practicality with sculptural elegance.
